What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy was established in the 19th century by Andrew Taylor Still. 1892 he founded the ‘American School of Osteopathy’ in Kirksville. Today there is a big number of osteopathic colleges in the United States, comparable to medical universities.
In Europe osteopathic schools opened first in London (1917), later in France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, etc.

Osteopathy is a ‘non-apparative medicine’. No technical devices are used, just the hands.
